PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne women's tennis team picked up a 5-2 win over Carnegie Mellon Friday afternoon at the CMU Tennis Courts.

The Dukes (10-8) overcame a loss at No. 3 doubles to open the match by winning each of the top-two positions.
Meredith Lee and
Priyanka Mitta picked up an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, before
Daniela Latoni and Blanca Benet Garcia clinched the doubles point with an 8-5 win at the No. 2 spot.

Duquesne made short work of the Tartans (12-6) with straight-set wins at the Nos. 3-6 singles positions. Latoni,
Natasha Novak, Garcia and Mitta each won their matches to secure the team victory.

Duquesne will return to league play on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 for matches with George Washington and George Mason to close out the regular season.
