FAIRFAX, Va. – The Duquesne women's tennis team concluded the regular-season with a 4-3 win at George Mason Sunday afternoon.

The Dukes (11-9, 3-2 A-10) also took on George Washington on Saturday afternoon, where they were defeated 4-0.

George Mason put Duquesne in an early hole after taking the doubles point. The Dukes managed to rally back with a quartet of straight-set wins in singles play to earn the league victory.

Ana Utrilla Benito was victorious over Hannah Yang 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.
Natasha Novak defeated Ashley Fitz-Patrick 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles, while
Meredith Lee knocked off Mason's Jackie Nannery 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.

Blanca Benet Garcia earned a tie-breaker win in the first set of her match versus Savanna Crowell at No. 6 singles, before claiming the win with a 7-6, 6-4 victory.

The Dukes will travel to Orlando, Florida for the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships at the USTA National Campus. The event will begin on Thursday, April 28 with opening round matches. Seeding and match pairings will be announced by the league.
