PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne men's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 victory at Carnegie Mellon Friday afternoon in a non-conference match.

The Dukes (8-8) won all three doubles matches to secure the point, including a dominant 8-1 showing by
Alex Mascioli and
Alejandro Rodriguez-Vidal at the No. 1 position.Â

Rodriguez-Vidal went on to make short work of Raahil Doshi (6-1, 6-1) at No. 3 singles to pick up two points on the day. Meanwhile, Mascioli rallied for a 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 singles win at the No. 2 position over Nicholas Wernink.

In addition to Rodriguez-Vidal,
Kaipo Marshall (No. 1 singles),
Tamirlan Teberikov (No. 2 singles),
Jin Dassanayake (6-2, 6-2) and
Bode Vance (6-1, 6-3) each earned straight-set wins to help secure the win.

The Dukes return to A-10 play on Saturday, April 23 to take on Fordham in Washington, D.C., before closing out the regular-season at George Mason the following day.
