PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne men's track & field team battled the elements at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Friday and Saturday afternoons.

Collin Ebling established the top-time in the 400-meter dash to win the event. He crossed the finish line in 49 seconds-flat.

Matt Busche won the 800-meter run with his time of one minute, 54.23 seconds.
Nick Fetzer turned in a sixth-place finish in the event with a time of two minutes, 0.74 seconds.

Matt Hurley and
Ryan Ellison both ran in the finals of the 110-meter hurdles. Hurley came in third overall at 15.80 seconds, with Ellison just behind at 15.81 seconds to take fourth.

Ellison also competed in the 400-meter hurdles, where he placed third with a time of 58.92 seconds. Zach DeCarmine crossed the tape in fourth at 59.59 seconds.

Casey Padgett clocked in with a time of nine minutes, 50.04 seconds to take third overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

In the field,
Roman Lisicky posted a mark of 46.43 meters (152 feet, four inches) in the javelin to claim fifth place.

The Dukes will look to improve on their times and marks next weekend, April 1-2, when they travel to Williamsburg, Virginia for the Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary.
