ATLANTIS, Fla. – The Duquesne women's tennis team dominated Atlantis University to earn a 7-0 win Friday afternoon.

The Dukes (5-6) won all nine matches to sweep Atlantis and wrap up the spring break trip with a victory.

Meredith Lee and
Priyanka Mitta got the day started with a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles, before the team of
Margot Pessy and
Daniela Latoni clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

All six singles positions were won by the Dukes in straight sets.
Ana Utrilla Benito opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 3 position. Before wins by Pessy and Shanahan secured the match.

Pessy earned a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, while Shanahan picked up an identical 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles to clinch the team victory.

The Dukes will travel to Youngstown, Ohio to take on Youngstown State on Friday, March 18 around 3 p.m.
