ATLANTIS, Fla. – The Duquesne men's tennis team was narrowly defeated 4-3 by Atlantis University Friday afternoon.

The Dukes (4-6) were dominant in doubles play, winning all three spots to earn the point in the team score.

Tamirlan Teberikov and Alejandro Rodriguez Vidal teamed up to take No. 1 doubles 6-4, Jin Dassanayke and
Kaipo Marshall won at No. 2 doubles 6-4, while
Alex Mascioli and
Joey Matthews cruised to a 6-1 win at the No. 3 position.

Mascioli and Teberikov both won their singles matches. Mascioli claimed No. 3 singles 7-5, 6-4, while Teberikov won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.

The match came down to the final three matches, including Teberikov's win, but Atlantis pulled out both three-set matches to rally and deal Duquesne its second 4-3 loss of the week.

The Dukes will return home and take on Ashland (D2) on Wednesday, March 16 at 12 p.m. at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center.
