PREVIEW: Swimming & Diving at Saint Francis U

LORETTO, Pa . - The Duquesne University Swimming & Diving team continues their 2022-23 season on Saturday, Nov. 5 when it travels to take on Saint Francis U in a dual at the Stokes Natatorium around 1 p.m.

It will be the 15th all-time meeting between the Dukes and Red Flash since 2007. Duquesne has won each of the past nine meetings and 13 of the 15 duals against Saint Francis, including a 151-96 victory last October. The last time the Dukes lost to the Red Flash was in 2012 at a neutral-site dual in New Britan, Connecticut.

The Dukes will look to carry the momentum of their second-place finish at the A-10 Invite at the SPIRE Institute this past weekend. The team was led by the efforts of Orla Egan, who won both the 500-yard freestyle and the 1650-yard free at the event. She hit the final wall at 5:04.89 in the 500, and pulled away for a winning time of 17:36.44 in the 1650.

Emma Menzer won the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:24.36 at the A-10 Invite. She also added a pair of third-place finishes in both the 200-yard IM (2:05.58) and the 500-yard free (5:09.38) at the SPIRE.

In the dives, Amy Read won the one-meter dive with her score of 286.45 at the A-10 Invite last week, while her score of 292.20 was second in the three-meter dives. Sidney O'Donnell was second only to Read in the one-meter (251,45) and third overall in the three-meter (265.90).
