Women's Cross Country Finishes Ninth at A-10 Championships

MECHANICSVILLE, Va. – The Duquesne women's cross country team finished 13th overall as a team at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships Saturday morning at Pole Green Park.
 
Loyola earned the team title with a trio of top-10 finishers. La Salle was second overall, while George Mason took third place in the team standings.
 
Haley Hamilton led the way with a top-20 finish. She posted a time of 17 minutes, 54.4 seconds on the five-kilometer course to place 17th overall.
 
Ryley Schwalm was second on the team at 18 minutes, 32.5 seconds to place 51st overall.
 
Claire Belton crossed the finish line third for the Dukes in 58th-place (18:39.7), while Addy Ciecierski (18:51.9) and Tori Kocsis (18:59.2) took 70th and 75th to round out the top-five Dukes.
 
Duquesne continues its season next weekend at the Saint Francis University Red Flash Rally around 2:30 p.m. in Loretto, Pa. on Sunday, Nov. 6.
