NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Duquesne women's cross country team posted a second-place finish at the 2021 National Catholic Championship on Friday afternoon hosted by Notre Dame.
The Dukes recorded a score of 81, while the host Fighting Irish paced the event with a score of 15, Lewis placed third at 108, Holy Cross fourth at 127 and Bellarmine fifth at 176.
Tori Kocsis led Duquesne with a 13th-place mark, touring the five-kilometer course in 18:42.8.
Ava Pietrzyk finished 16th for the Dukes at 18:58.7,
Grace Sisson 18th at 19:02.2,
Ally Christy 21st at 19:10.6 and
Haley Hamilton 27th at 19:19.2.
Notre Dame freshman Kate Wiser took home the individual crown with a time of 17:16.5 on the day.
In addition, the Dukes also competed at the Robert Morris Invitational on Friday at Youthtowne, placing fourth at the event.
Gina Bolla paced Duquesne with a 10th-place finish (24:41.0) followed by
Addy Ciecierski in 11th (24:42.6),
Laura Ehrenberger in 26th (25:50.9),
Kiki Thornton in 21st (26:23.6) and Hannah Dieterly in 32nd (26:26.8).
