NEW ORLEANS - The Atlantic 10 champion Duquesne women's cross country team moved eight spots to fifth in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings, representing the highest ranking in program history.
The Dukes, who captured their third A-10 women's cross country title on Friday in Virginia, jumped from 13th to fifth following their performance at the conference championship.
Georgetown sits atop the Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings followed by West Virginia second, Villanova third and Penn State fourth.

Jim Lear and the Dukes rank ahead of George Washington in sixth, Bucknell in seventh, Temple in eighth, La Salle ninth and Lafayette tenth.
Brianna Schwartz (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Shaler) garnered all-conference honors with a seventh-place showing at the A-10 Championship to pace five Duquesne runners placed in the top 25.
Grace Sission (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Fox Chapel) was next for Duquesne in 20th place with a mark of 18:09.7, followed by junior
Tori Kocsis (Johnstown, Pa. / Richland) in 21st with a time of 18:10.4.
Senior
Ava Pietrzyk (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills) registered a 23rd-place performance of 18:14.6 and senior
Rachel Valotta (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Plum) came in 25th for the Dukes to round at scoring at 18:20.6.
