NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Duquesne freshman diver
Sidney O'Donnell (Solon, Ohio / Solon) was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week for her performance over the weekend in a dual meet against Marshall, conference officials announced on Tuesday afternoon.
O'Donnell finished first in the 1-meter dive at 257.40 and also posted a meet-high in points on the 3-meter boards with a mark of 257.03 in the event, helping the Dukes record a 210-198 victory over the Thundering Herd. Both marks represented season highs for the freshman.
O'Donnell also led the Duquesne divers at the Richmond Duals against the host Spiders and in a win over George Mason followed by defeating foes from all four opponents at the A-10 Classic in triumphs over the Patriots, La Salle, Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure.

Emma Menzer from earlier this season, the Dukes have now had at least one A-10 Rookie of the Week award winner in three straight seasons and five of the last six campaigns - 2014-15: Kayla Owens (2x), 2015-16:

The Duquesne swimmers are back in action hosting Saint Francis U this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Towers Pool. O'Donnell and the Dukes divers will return to the boards on Friday, Jan. 24 at the Western PA Invite at Trees Pool beginning at 1 p.m.
