PREVIEW: @DuqMSoccer at Saint Francis U

Red Hot Dukes head to Loretto for a Tuesday clash with the Red Flash

Duquesne (6-0-1, 1-0-0), winner of a school record six in a row, heads to Loretto, Pa. for a Tuesday afternoon non-conference clash with Saint Francis U (2-3-0) at 4:00 p.m. (NEC Front Row). The Dukes, who began the week as one of 18 Division I teams without a loss, are looking to post three consecutive road wins for the first time since 2009 (at Robert Morris, at Saint Joseph's and at Temple). DU is also looking to tie the school record for consecutive matches without a loss (8) set in 2003 and tied in 2016. Duquesne is coming off a 2-1 Atlantic 10-opening win at Saint Joseph's on Saturday.

  • The series is knotted at 7-7-4.
  • In matches at Loretto, SFU leads 4-3-2

QUICK HITS
Duquesne's 6-0-1 start marks the first time the Dukes have been undefeated through seven matches since 2002 (5-0-2). This is the first time in program history the Dukes have posted six wins in their first seven matches. DU's best all-time start came in its 2003 A-10 regular season co-championship season (9-1-2 on the way to a 13-3-3 final record).

DU's UNDEFEATED STARTS
2019 - seven matches (6-0-1)
2002 - seven matches (5-0-2)

  • Duquesne was ranked 10th in the Southeast Region of the Sept. 17 United Soccer Coaches Poll (new poll will be released on Sept. 24).
