Dukes and Mountaineers to meet in Morgantown on Nov. 1

PTTSBURGH - Long-time men's basketball rivals Duquesne and West Virginia will meet in a charity exhibition game at the WVU Coliseum on Friday, Nov. 1 it was announced today. The game, set for a 7:00 p.m. tip, will benefit the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund.

"We're proud to team with Coach Huggins and the Mountaineers to help the people of Dayton," said Duquesne head coach Keith Dambrot. "Coach Huggins and I both have many ties to the state of Ohio, and this is a small way to help those directly affected by the events of August 4. I hope we can fill the Coliseum for a worthy cause."

This will be the first meeting between the Dukes and Mountaineers since Nov. 17, 2013. West Virginia is Duquesne's second most-frequent all-time opponent, with the two having met 88 times.

It will also be the second charity exhibition for Duquesne, which hosted Chatham University on Nov. 1, 2017 in a game set up to aid hurricane relief efforts in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Information on individual ticket sales - and on how fans attending the game may support the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund - will be announced by WVU at a later date.

The WVU-Duquesne game will be televised by AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh.
