COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Duquesne swimming and diving team was named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the 2019 spring semester, the organization announced on Tuesday. The CSCAA recognizes teams achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
The two-time defending Atlantic 10 champion Dukes posted a 3.59 grade point average for the semester, second-highest among the 11 A-10 institutions.
Individually, 93 percent of DU's roster has recorded a 3.0 GPA or higher to garner A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition while 67 percent of the Dukes earned Dean's List honors with at least a 3.5 GPA.
A record 777 teams, representing 480 institutions were named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America team for the Spring 2019 Semester. At 3.45, the national median GPA among women's teams was the highest on record.
The CSCAA is slated to announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
