NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Duquesne divers took part in their final tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Championship later this month, competing at the Rich Sentner Dive InvitationalĀ hosted by Westminster College on Saturday at the Westminster Natatorium.
Sawyer Weitzel (Celina, Ohio / Celina) set a new school record in the 3-meter dive for the Dukes with a score of 265.30. She posted a second-place finish in the event, followed by
Adrienne White (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton)Ā in fourth at 248.20.
White paced Duquesne in the 1-meter with a score of 251.05 with Weitzel placing fourth at 244.60 and
Peyton Joiner (Northford, Conn. / North Branford) fifth at 214.10.
Head diving coach Charlie Hauser: "We had a really well-run and fun meet today at Westminster. With only diving, the girls were able to get into their element and focus on putting out their best lists. We had some standout performances, including personal bests today, and everyone had something to be proud of this afternoon. Really excited and pumped for A-10s in only a little over a week."

The Dukes will look to defend their Atlantic 10 crown at the A-10 Championship meet from Feb. 20-23 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
