OLEAN, N.Y. - Duquesne, which has come back from double-digit deficits seven times this season, fell behind by 19 early in the second half, but was unable to close the gap in a 68-47 loss at St. Bonaventure.
Lamar Norman Jr. led the Dukes, who shot a season-low 28.3 percent, with a career-high 20 points off the bench. He was the only double-digit scorer for Duquesne, which saw its two-game win streak snapped.
The win gave St. Bonaventure a sweep of the season series. The Bonnies, who defeated the Dukes 51-49 in Pittsburgh on Feb. 6, have held DU to its two lowest point totals this season.
The Bonnies led 19-14 before going on a 12-0 run to take a 31-14 lead on a Courtney Stockard 3-pointer. The Dukes scored the last four points to make it 33-22 at the half.
St. Bonaventure outshot Duquesne 58.3 percent to 28 percent in the opening 20 minutes.
SBU scored the first eight points of the second half to up the lead to 41-22. DU, which missed its first five shots out of the break, didn't get on the board until
Marcus Weathers scored at the 15:20 mark.
Duquesne cut it to 11 on Norman Jr.'s fourth 3-pointer that made it 47-36 with just under 10 minutes left, but could get no closer the rest of the way.
The Dukes were held without a field goal over the last 5:14 as the SBU lead reached a game-high 21 points at the final horn.
St. Bonaventure finished at a Duquesne opponent-high 55.1 percent.
Duquesne returns home to face Massachusetts on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (AT&T SportsNet/ESPN+). The men's game will be followed by the Duquesne women's team's final regular-season home game vs. St. Bonaventure at 4:30 p.m.

- Lamar Norman Jr. came of the bench to score a career-high 20 for the Dukes. It was his fourth double-digit scoring game this year, and first since a 16-point outing vs. Maryland Eastern Shore on Dec. 13. Norman Jr.'s four 3-pointers (4-of-8) tied his career high (4-of-9 vs. UMES). Norman Jr. added a career-high four steals.
