GENEVA, Ohio – The Duquesne swimming and diving team collected three medals and shattered a trio of school records on Friday night at the A-10 Championship as the Dukes remain in possession of first place at the meet after three days of competition at the SPIRE Institute.
Duquesne has racked up 396 points followed by George Washington second with 379 and Fordham third with 360.5.
Emma Brinton secured her second individual gold medal in as many days with a first-place mark in the 400-yard individual medley with a school, A-10 Championship and pool record time of 4:13.68. She bested her own record set at last year's championship of 4:15.90.
Audrey Steen set a new school record in the 100-yard backstroke with a mark of 54.64, earning a silver medal and topping the previous record of 54.71 set by her earlier in the day in the prelims and Hallie McCue's time of 55.45 set in 2017.

Hanna Everhart capped Friday's events by winning a gold medal with a school-record time of 3:41.74, shattering the previous record of 3:43.21 set by Brinton, Stauffer,
Morgan Smith and
Lexi Santer last year.
Smith placed seventh in the 400 individual medley at 4:24.65 while Steen added a seventh-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly for Duquesne at 55.22.
Carson Gross finished seventh in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.00) followed by
Hanna Everhart in eighth (1:50.20).
Stauffer placed fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.17) while
Erin Kuhn finished eighth (1:03.37) for the Dukes.
Duquesne will look to repeat as A-10 champions tomorrow with the fourth and final day of the A-10 Championship at SPIRE Institute beginning with the prelims at 10 a.m. Tomorrow's events include the: 1,650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 3-meter dive and the 400 freestyle relay.
