PITTSBURGH – Julijana Vojinovic scored a season-high 26 points and
Kadri-Ann Lass added 22 as Duquesne ended its three game losing streak with an 85-57 victory over Dayton on Sunday afternoon. Vojinovic finished the contest with a career-high six 3-pointers.
Libby Bazelak tied her career-high with a game-high 10 rebounds for the Dukes (12-11, 6-4 A-10).
Lauren Cannatelli led the Flyers (12-9, 7-3 A-10) with 16.
Although the Flyers led at the end of the 1
st quarter 16-13 and all the way to the 4:07 mark of the 2
nd quarter, the game saw three ties and four lead changes in the 2
nd quarter. Vojinovic's 3-pointer broke a tie before Jayla Scaife's jumper closed out the scoring with Duquesne ahead 33-32 heading into halftime.
Brittany Ward opened up the 3
rd quarter with a pair of free throws, giving the Flyers a one point lead. On the next possession, Lass hit a 3-pointer which started a 17-5 run, giving the Dukes their first double-figure lead of the game at 50-39 with 3:19 left in the quarter. Duquesne would outscore Dayton 30-13 in the quarter to take a commanding 63-54 lead heading into the final quarter.
The Dukes only surrendered three Flyers field goals in the 4
th quarter and
Eniko Kuttor's jumper gave Duquesne its largest lead of the game and season – 31 points with 1:04 remaining.

- Lass passed Kristi Little to move into 15th place on Duquesne's all-time scoring list
- Vojinovic passed Orsi Szecsi and is now tied with Chrissi Stough for 21st place on Duquesne's all-time scoring list
- Halle Bovell made her first career start and played a career-high 25 minutes
