PITTSBURGH - Junior forward Michael Hughes was named Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Week for his performance in DU's 71-58 win over VMI last week.

The 6-8 center posted his third double-double with a career-high 23 points - on 10-of-11 shooting - and 11 rebounds vs. the Keydets. Hughes, who currently ranks 16th nationally in blocked shots per game (2.86), rejected four VMI shots.

Duquesne, one of eight remaining undefeated teams in NCAA Division I, is off to the school's best start in 40 years with a 7-0 record.

The Dukes, who received a vote in the Dec. 9 Associated Press Top 25 for the first time since Feb. 7, 2011 earlier today, host Columbia in their final nonconference home game tonight at 7:00 p.m. at La Roche University.
