BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Duquesne women's cross country team capped the 2019 campaign on Friday with a 13th-place mark at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by Lehigh University with a score of 424.
Megan Aller (New Kensington, Pa. / Kiski Area) paced the Dukes with a personal-best 6K time of 21:17.3 for a 49th-place finish. Aller led Duquesne at all six events she competed in this fall.
Rachel Valotta (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Plum) was the next Duke to cross the finish line in 74th with a mark of 21:47.5, followed by
Morgan Perkins (Erie, Pa. / Mercyhurst Prep) in 94th with a time of 22:06.8,
Ava Pietrzyk (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills) in 97th at 22:09.4 and
Tessa Franchi (Gibsonia, Pa. / Pine-Richland) in 110th with a personal-best 6K time of 22:22.1.
Penn State captured its fourth regional title while Villanova finished second and Georgetown third.
