COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Duquesne swimming and diving team was selected as a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the Dukes' performance in the class room during the 2018 fall semester. The teams were selected by the CSCAA's Scholar All-America committee and were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester, maintaining a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.
The Dukes' 3.54 grade point average during the fall semester was the highest among Atlantic 10 teams selected. Individually, 86 percent of Duquesne's roster posted at least a 3.0 GPA for the semester, with 20 student-athletes recording a 3.5 GPA to garner Dean's List recognition.
A record 713 teams from 460 institutions at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels as well as the NAIA and NJCAA earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team status for the fall semester.
The Dukes return to the pool this weekend (Jan. 25-26) at the Western PA Invite hosted by Pitt at Trees Pool.
