PITTSBURGH - Duquesne head women's lacrosse coach
Corinne Desrosiers recently announced the addition of Leah Pace to the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the Dukes.
A former standout lacrosse player at High Point, Pace was a two-time All-Big South selection at midfielder for the Panthers. She most recently served on the coaching staff at Plum High School and as an assistant coach with the True Lacrosse Club in Pittsburgh.
"I am so excited to welcome Leah to our coaching staff this year," said Desrosiers. "Like me, she enjoys coaching all areas of the field and this was a priority for me in the hiring process as I cannot be contained to just one end of the field. She was an excellent player at High Point and came highly recommended during the search process. Duquesne Lacrosse will be that much better with her on our sidelines."
At High Point, Pace earned First Team All-Big South honors as a junior in 2015, pacing the Panthers with 39 ground balls while ranking third on the team with 38 points (25 goals, 13 assists). She then garnered Second Team All-Big South accolades as a senior in 2016. Pace finished her career with 50 goals and 23 assists to go with 86 ground balls, 74 draw controls and 35 caused turnovers. She helped the Panthers to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2013-14, as well.
In addition, the Bel Air, Md. native was a Millis Scholar Athlete and was a member of the Big South Presidential Honor Roll at High Point.
