A-10 Unveils New Seating Concept For 2019 Men’s Basketball Championship

Tickets on Sale Thursday

NEWPORT NEWS, VA.—The Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship will make Brooklyn's Barclays Center its home for the next three years, and the madness begins on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 10:00 am ET when tickets go on sale for the 2019 Championship, held March 13-17. The A-10 returns to Barclays Center after hosting its premier event in Brooklyn in 2013-2016.

Fans will experience five days of high-octane basketball, with economical pricing opportunities, as well as the introduction of the league's new open seating plan for the majority of seats in the lower bowl.

"We listened to feedback about seating options, noting than many of our fans wanted the opportunity to be closer to the action. We built our new open seating options to allow fans more flexibility and the opportunity to sit in closer proximity to their team's bench with fellow fans and friends," stated A-10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade. "This was an opportunity to enhance the championship experience for our fans as we return to Brooklyn and provide our student-athletes with a New York experience they will never forget," added McGlade.

Fans who purchase open seating tickets may sit in any of the specifically designated sections in the lower bowl for $275 for all sessions. Additionally, the A-10 will continue its economical end zone seating for the second year, in The Brooklyn Fan Zone, with $25 tickets for adults and $20 for students per session. For fans who prefer reserved seating, prime seating is available in lower bowl sections at various price points, along with courtside seating.

Championship tickets are available to purchase starting Thursday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. by clicking here or by calling 412-232-DUKE (3853). Duquesne season ticket holders are eligible for special discount packages and may purchase them by calling 412-232-DUKE (3853).

Last year Davidson captured its first A-10 crown by defeating Rhode Island in the championship game. Over the last eight years, seven different teams have won the championship. In that same period, the conference has had 30 teams advance to the NCAA Tournament, with one trip to the Elite Eight and three to the Sweet 16. The league also won the NIT in 2016 and is consistently ranked as one of the top seven college basketball conferences in the RPI.
