May 3, 2018 PITTSBURGH – Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Keith Dambrot announced today that Lamar Norman Jr. (Wyoming, Mich./Godwin Heights) has signed an athletic scholarship agreement and will be part of the 2018-19 recruiting class.
Norman, a 6-3 guard, is ranked as the No. 10 prospect in the state of Michigan by 247sports.com. The consensus 3-star recruit averaged an area-best 26.4 points per game in helping Godwin Heights to a 21-2 record this season.
"Lamar is an explosive, Atlantic 10-caliber athlete who played for an outstanding high school program," said Dambrot. "He has above the rim athleticism combined with the ability to really shoot it. He's a proven winner who we look forward to having as part of our program."
Norman, who finished as Godwin Heights' all-time leading scorer, helped the Wolverines to an 89-9 record, a 2015 state championship and three district titles during his four-year career.
The two-time all-state pick is the seventh member of the 2018-19 recruiting class.
