THE SERIES
- The Minutewomen own a 16-7 advantage in the series which dates back to the 1999 campaign.
- The Dukes won three straight over UMass from 2008-10, but the Minutewomen have collected 10 consecutive victories over Duquesne since.
- UMass claimed a 25-12 triumph over the Dukes at Rooney Field in the season finale in 2017.
SCOUTING THE DUKES
- Duquesne is coming off a 20-13 senior day win over George Washington last Sunday at Rooney Field. The Dukes used a 14-goal second half to defeat the Colonials and snap a six-game skid.
- Ten different players scored for Duquesne in the win over GW, including a career-high four-goal effort from sophomore midfielder Maddie Hart (Sykesville, Md./Century).
- Senior attacker Jill Vacanti (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) recorded a hat trick in her final game on The Bluff. She paces the team with 28 goals on the year and currently sits ninth all-time in program history with 133 career goals. She needs just one goal to move into a tie for eighth on the all-time scoring list.
- Hart had her eighth multi-goal game of the season against the Colonials and her third career hat trick. She is second on the team with 33 points including 25 goals. In addition, Hart is fourth in the Atlantic 10 with a program single-season record 77 draw controls on the season.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Maddy Curtis (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) registered a career-best 16 saves in the win over GW, picking up her second win in four starts between the pipes for the Dukes. Curtis' 16 saves were the most by a DU goalie since 2016.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN
- UMass saw its 61-game A-10 winning streak snapped last Sunday in a 17-16 overtime loss to VCU. It was the Minutewomen's first loss in conference play since 2010.
- UMass has won nine consecutive A-10 tournament championships and seven A-10 regular season titles in a row. The Minutewomen can secure another regular season championship as well as the top seed for the upcoming A-10 tournament with a win over the Dukes on Saturday.
- Holly Turner leads the A-10 and ranks 13th in Division I with 38 assists. She also has 34 goals on the season for a team-high 76 points, good for second in the conference.
- Hannah Burnett leads UMass and ranks third in the league with 53 goals on the year. She has scored at least two goals in all 16 games this season including 11 games with three goals or more.
- As a team, the Minutewomen lead the country in shots on goal per game (38.06) and rank third in the nation in both points per game (24.75) and assists per game (8.63).
- Saturday will be senior day for UMass at Garber Field, where the Minutewomen are 5-0 this season.
