SCOUTING THE DUKES
- The Dukes dropped a 16-10 decision to UMBC (6-1) on Saturday afternoon at Rooney Field. Sophomore midfielder Maddie Hart (Sykesville, Md./Century) and junior attacker Haley Matthai (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) each netted a career-high three goals for Duquesne.

- Senior attacker Jill Vacanti (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) and sophomore midfielder Rilee Bradshaw (Middletown, Md.) added two goals apiece for the Dukes.

- Vacanti paces DU with 10 goals on the season while freshman attacker Michaela Connolly (Sykesville, Md./Century) has dished out a team-high six assists.

- Hart is second in the Atlantic 10 with 28 draw controls on the year.

SCOUTING THE CHIPPEWAS
- Central Michigan enters Thursday's matchup with a 2-4 overall record. The Chippewas have dropped two straight games, most recently a 12-4 defeat at the hands of intrastate foe Michigan.

- CMU has defeated American (12-10) and Butler (19-9) this season.

- Following their matchup with the Dukes, the Chippewas will host a common opponent with Duquesne in St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.

- Central Michigan is competing in the Southern Conference this season for the first time. The Chippewas were previously members of the Atlantic Sun in women's lacrosse.

- CMU is led by sophomore midfielder Shannon Doyle, a native of Mars, Pa., with 14 points (11 goals, three assists) on the season.

SCOUTING THE TITANS
- Detroit Mercy owns a 2-4 ledger on the season with wins over American (16-8) and Butler (16-6), as well.

- The Titans are coming off a 12-10 loss at Cincinnati. Prior to Saturday's contest against Duquesne, Detroit Mercy hosts St. Francis (Pa.) on Thursday afternoon.

- The Titans have also faced No. 11 Northwestern and Ohio State earlier this season.

- Detroit Mercy is also a member of the SoCon. 2018 Preseason All-SoCon selection Kaitlyn Wandelt leads the Titans with 17 points (11 goals, six assists) on the year. Detroit Mercy landed a league-high five players on the Preseason All-SoCon team.

UP NEXT
The Dukes open Atlantic 10 play at home against St. Bonaventure on Thursday, March 29 at 3 p.m. ET at Arthur J. Rooney Field. This is the first game of a three-game homestand for Duquesne, as the Dukes also host Richmond on March 31 and VCU on April 6.
