NEC Meet 2 Results
PITTSBURGH - The second-year Duquesne bowling program has qualified for the Northeast Conference Championship for the first time, based on its performance at the second Northeast Conference regular-season meet held over the weekend at Farmingdale Lanes in Farmingdale, N.Y.
The Dukes, who finished 5-7 on the weekend and 8-10 overall in conference play, will be seeded No. 5 at the six-team NEC Championship to be held at Howell Lanes in Howell, N.J. on March 23-25. The six schools will compete to earn the NEC's bid to the NCAA Women's Bowling Championship.
Duquesne went 3-3 in its traditional matches and 2-4 in baker play over the weekend. Olivia Farwell paced the Dukes with a 192 average in traditional play. She rolled a DU high 223 in a loss to No. 12 Sacred Heart.
