PITTSBURGH -
Austin Rotroff (Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon) was named Atlantic 10 co-Rookie of the Week for his performance in Duquesne's 84-70 season-opening win over William & Mary on Saturday.
The 6-10 forward came off the bench to score a team high-tying 17 points and corral seven rebounds in 20 minutes to help the Dukes put away the Tribe.
Rotroff, who totaled 13 points in an 8:41 span of the second half, finished 6-of-7 from the field, including 3-of-3 from the 3-point arc. He went 2-of-2 from the foul line.
The Ohio native is the second Duke to earn Rookie of the Week honors under second-year head coach

Duquesne (1-0) hosts UIC (0-2) tonight at 8:00 p.m. in a Gotham Classic game at the Palumbo Center. The men's game is the second of a doubleheader, preceded by the DU women vs. Mount St. Mary's at 5:00 p.m.
