Duquesne (4-8-3, 2-3-2), which saw its three-match unbeaten streak snapped in a 3-2 defeat at St. Bonaventure on Saturday, returns home to face Davidson (8-6-2, 4-2-1) in the regular season finale Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. The Dukes need a win and some help to qualify for the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship (the top eight finishers qualify, see latest A-10 standings here). The complete A-10 Championship bracket will be released at the conclusion of play Wednesday night.

THE SERIES VS. DAVIDSON

• Davidson leads the young series 2-1. In matches in Pittsburgh, Duquesne leads 1-0.
• Last year the Wildcats defeated the Dukes, 3-0, at Davidson.
• Duquesne won the only Pittsburgh meeting, by a 3-1 score on Nov. 7, 2015. That 3-1 win, which came in the final match of the regular season, clinched an A-10 Championship appearance for the Dukes.
• Duquesne is 3-3-2 at home (1-1-1 in A-10 play) and Davidson is 4-2-1 on the road, including a 2-0-1 mark in conference games.

QUICK HITS

• St. Bonaventure scored with 38 seconds left in its 3-2 win over the Dukes in Olean, N.Y. on Saturday. Zach Hall (11') and Moritz Kappelsberger (28') scored for the Dukes, who outshot the Bonnies 13-5.
• The loss at SBU ended a three-match unbeaten streak for the Red & Blue (2-0-1). The streak included a 3-0 home win over George Mason, a 0-0 draw at Saint Louis and a 3-1 win over #23 Rhode Island. The win at Mason ended a 14-match road winless streak, the tie at SLU was DU's first point earned in 11 all-time matches with the Billikens and the win over URI was the program's first over a nationally ranked team.
• Senior midfielder Noah Mehta (two goals vs. URI) and junior goalkeeper Robbie McKelvey were named A-10 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week on Oct. 22. It was the first time in school history that the Dukes had two players of the week in the same week.
• The Dukes have outshot their conference opponents 100-62, including 42-24 on goal.
• Duquesne ranked fifth nationally in corner kicks per game through Sunday (currently at 6.8). DU had 16 corners - one shy of the school record - in its 3-0 win over Detroit Mercy on Sept. 2. The Dukes have had nine or more corners in a game five times.
• DU ranks 20th nationally in shots per game (14.8) and 39th in shots on goal per game (6.13).
• The young Dukes have started at least six freshmen in all 15 matches this season. DU has started seven freshmen five times and 12 total freshmen have played. Manel Busquets (Spain), Nathan Dossantos (Canada), Rob Dymond (New Zealand), Moritz Kappelsberger (Germany), Domenic Nascimben (Australia), Kendall Newman, Kurtis Orrson, Gylfi Stefansson (Iceland) and Eric Zech (Germany) have all started at least once. Of the nine freshmen who have started, seven are international players.
• Overall, DU has 10 international players, including returners seniors Noah Mehta (Canada) and Olav Hovstad (Norway) and freshman Denis Celik (Germany).
• The Dukes have 15 first-year players on the 2018 roster including 14 freshmen and junior Pitt transfer M Alec Anselmo.
• Noah Mehta, who had two first-half goals in the 3-1 win over #23 Rhode Island, leads the team with 12 points. His four goals are tied with freshman Manel Busquets for team high.
• DU's 22 goals this season have come from 10 players: Manel Busquets (4), Noah Mehta (4), Rob Dymond (3), Ian Larson (3), Zach Hall (2), Moritz Kappelsberger (2), Zion Beaton (1), Nathan Dossantos (1), Gylfi Stefansson (1) and Austin Stout (1).
• Senior Ian Larson (20 points, 7 goals) and junior Zach Hall (18 points, 7 goals) are DU's top current career point-getters and goal scorers.
• Busquets leads the team in shots with 30, Mehta is second with 27 and Larson third with 25.
• Mehta leads the team in career games with 60. Larson is second with 54.
