Preview: @DuqSwimDive at Atlantic 10 Classic

MEET NOTES
  • The Dukes are set to make their return to the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio for the first time since winning the 2018 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championship in February with the 2018 A-10 Classic this Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28.
  • Also competing at the event will be George Mason, La Salle, Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure.
  • Duquesne comes into the A-10 Classic with a 2-2 mark in dual action this season, defeating Youngstown State and George Mason with losses to defending Colonial Athletic Association champ James Madison and last year's A-10 runner-up Richmond.
  • The Dukes split matchups at last weekend's Richmond Duals. In a win over George Mason, DU won 11 of 16 events against the Patriots, including four victories by Emma Brinton (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) and three by Abigail Stauffer (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg).
  • Freshman diver Adrienne White (Gibsonia, Pa./Hampton) topped George Mason in both the 1-meter (253.10) and 3-meter dives (246.65) before pacing both the 1-meter (257.55) and 3-meter dives (247.95) for the Dukes against the Spiders. For her performance, she repeated as the A-10 Rookie of the Week.
  • Duquesne posted a 4-0 mark at least season's A-10 Classic with victories over the same teams competing at this year's event. In fact, the Dukes are 14-0 at the A-10 event since 2013.
