UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Duquesne women's cross country team recorded a 26th-place finish among a very strong field at the Penn State National Open on Friday at the Blue-White Golf Course.
The host 19th-ranked Nittany Lions won the 6K race with a score of 62 followed by fellow Big 10 Conference member No. 14 Michigan State in second (87), No. 26 Georgia Tech third (143), No. 29 Princeton fourth (182) and Dartmouth fifth (186).

Elizabeth Morris (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) led the Dukes in 93rd place with a time of 21:52. Morris bested scorers from Brown, Utah, Virginia Tech, Virginia, among others at the event.
