Morgret Added to @DuqLax Coaching Staff

Sept. 7, 2017

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne lacrosse head coach Lisa Evans recently announced the addition of Melanie Morgret to the Dukes coaching staff as a volunteer assistant. Morgret will work with the Duquesne goalies.

"We are extremely excited to bring Melanie on staff as our goalie coach," said Evans. "Her perspective and attitude from her collegiate experience align with where we are taking the program. Melanie will add depth to our coaching staff and provide our keepers with a valuable perceptive."

Morgret is no stranger to the goalkeeper position after a four-year playing career at Division II Seton Hill University, where she finished with 75 career saves, 18 ground balls and a 7-3 cumulative record for the Griffins.

In addition, Morgret, a 2013 graduate of Peters Township High School, has served as the goalie coach for local club Intrepid Lacrosse for the past five years.

An Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) DII Academic Honor Roll member, Morgret is currently enrolled in the DU School of Law.
