QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's tennis team fell 6-1 to nationally-ranked No. 40 Virginia Friday morning at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center.

The team of Kylie Isaacs and Julianne Herman opened doubles competition with a win at the #1, defeating Virginia's nationally-ranked No. 48 Rosie Johanson and Meghan Kelley 6-4. Virginia went on to win the #2 (6-2) and #3 (6-4) doubles points.

The Cavaliers recorded wins at the #1 and #2 in singles competition, before Megan Wasson fell in a tie-breaker at the #3 (3-6, 6-2, 6-1) to UVA's Kelley. Virginia would take the #4 and #5, with Laurel Shymansky defeating Hunter Bleser at the #6 in a straight-set victory for the Dukes.

UP NEXT: Duquesne heads to Orlando, Fla. to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship April 26-30.
