QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne swimming team finished first through 14 events in Day 2 of the A-10 Championship Thursday afternoon, with two Dukes setting program records in their events.
In the 500 yard Freestyle, Lauren Devorace's fourth place finish in 4:54.64 set a program record, and Carson Gross (4:55.15) took fifth place for the Dukes.
Lexi Santer finished third in the 200 yard IM, breaking a school record with her time of 2:01.02 and Abigail Stauffer (2:01:32) would take fourth place, with the two finishes scoring 31 points for Duquesne. Both Santer and Stauffer made NCAA B cuts in the 200 IM.
The 200 yard Freestyle Relay team of Kristen McKnight, Emily Thirion, Carson Gross, Michelle Heim (1:32.77) finished the day with a second place finish, scoring 34 points.
COACH SHEETS QUOTE: "It was another very good day for us, we have put ourselves in a good position after day two. We will weather the diving tomorrow and keep taking the meet one event at a time."
UP NEXT: The Dukes continue competition in Day 3 of the A-10 Championships Friday, with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. and finals set for 6:30 p.m.
