Roto Grip Raider Classic Results

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne finished sixth of 25 teams at the Roto Grip Raider Classic in Dayton, Ohio over the weekend. The USBC tournament features a mixture of NCAA, NAIA and Club teams primarily from Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states.

Duquesne rolled a 4,523 total in five games on Saturday to take over the sixth spot. DU's pin total was just 52 shy of third place Notre Dame College. Kelsey Hackbart led the Dukes with a 907 total, including a high game of 200. Cassidy Powers totaled 887, with a top game of 204. Freshman Olivia Farwell was well on her way to earning all-tournament honors with consecutive games of 223, 225, 203 and 182 before an injury sidelined her in the fifth game.

DU was unable to make up ground in the Baker games on day two, missing the four-team semifinal round by 153 pins.

The Dukes will be back in action this weekend at the BGSU Falcon Classic, another USBC event, on Nov. 18.
