RICHMOND DUALS INFORMATION

MEET NOTES
• The Dukes open the 2017-18 campaign at the Richmond Duals, facing Davidson on Friday, Oct. 20 before taking on the host Richmond Spiders on Saturday, Oct. 21.

• Duquesne was picked to finish second at the 2018 A-10 Championship following a second-place showing at last year's championship meet. The Spiders, who have won seven consecutive conference titles, were selected as the favorite. Davidson was picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll.

• DU head coach David Sheets is in his 17th season at the helm of the Dukes program, helping DU to two consecutive second-place finishes at the A-10 Championship in 2016 & 17. Sheets, a 20-time All-American swimmer at Clarion University and 2015 A-10 Coach of the Year, is assisted by first-year coach Megan Zarriello, who comes to the Bluff after serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Wagner.

• The DU diving program was reinstated prior to this season and will be led by diving coach Charlie Hauser. The Dukes last competed in diving during the 2000-01 season.

• DU heads to Geneva, Ohio for the Atlantic 10 Conference quad meet on Saturday, Oct. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 29. George Mason, LaSalle, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis will also participate in the A-10 Duals.
