Norfolk, VA - The Duquesne swimming team has been recognized as a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for achieving exemplary academic performance during the Fall 2016 semester. Duquesne is one of 87 teams at the Division I level receiving honors, among 394 total schools.
Duquesne had the second highest GPA of Atlantic 10 Conference teams, earning a team GPA of 3.53 during the Fall 2016 semester.
“For our program to continuously be recognized as a Scholar All-America Team is a testament to the hard work our ladies put in every day in the classroom," said head coach Dave Sheets. "They each exemplify the term student-athlete.”
To receive the award, teams must earn a GPA of a 3.0 or higher during the fall semester.
