QUICK RECAP:
Jallah Acqui scored from the top of the box in the 93rd minute to give Duquesne its third-straight dramatic win - this one coming by a 1-0 score in overtime at Cleveland State. The victory upped the Dukes' record to 4-2, while the loss dropped CSU to 4-4. Acqui, a freshman, took a deflection from a tackle near the top of the box and knocked it hard and high past Vikings' keeper Aleksandar Drobac for the game-winner. Evan Kozlowski, bolstered by a solid defensive front, stopped three Cleveland State shots in posting his second consecutive shutout. DU outshot CSU 18-11, including a 6-3 advantage on goal. Duquesne was the aggressor early, with seven shots in the first 15 minutes - including four by George Poppas. The Dukes outshot the Vikings 9-2 before CSU closed the gap to 13-6 at the half. Owen Rossi sent a cross to Diego Vieira in the 34th minute, but Vieira's shot from the left side was punched away by Drobac. Rossi had a nearly identical right-to-left cross that could not be run down by Nigel Seidu in the closing seconds of the half. Second half shots were even at 4-4, with Kozlowski coming well off the line to smother a CSU advance in the 54th minute. The game remained scoreless until Acqui's blast. The late goal has become a regular occurrence for the 2016 Dukes, whose four wins have come in dramatic fashion. Olav Hovstad scored in the 100th minute to give the Dukes a 2-1 come-from-behind OT win over Saint Francis on Aug. 26. DU scored twice in the final 5:04 - with Fredrik Borenstein netting the game-winner in the 89th minute - of a 2-1 win over Wofford on Sept 9 and Austin Stout scored with five seconds left in overtime to give Duquesne a 1-0 win over Canisius on Sept. 11.

DUQUESNE HEAD COACH Chase Brooks:
"We are a very resilient group - a group of guys who are finding that belief in themselves and are not afraid to work hard for 90-plus minutes. Every game we step onto the field, we know we have a chance to walk away with a W. Confidence and imposing your will on another team, that's what its all about, and we did that very well tonight."
