PITTSBURGH - Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Jim Ferry announced today that sophomore forward TySean Powell (Twinsburg, Ohio/IMG (Fla.) Academy) plans to leave the University at the end of the current semester and will no longer be a participating member of the team. Powell will complete his current academic semester before transferring.

"Ty informed me that he was leaving the team effective immediately for personal reasons," said Ferry. "We wish him nothing but the best and will provide full support for him to complete his semester here successfully."

Powell averaged 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game. He played in 26 games.
