PITTSBURGH - Four Charlotte players scored in double-figures led by Lefty Webster's game-high 22 as the former Atlantic 10 member defeated Duquesne 77-63 on Wednesday night at the Palumbo Center.

Chassidy Omogrosso led the Dukes (4-6) with 15 points.

FIRST QUARTER
The 1st quarter started out fast and went back-and-forth with three ties and nine lead changes. Charlotte jumped out to an early 11-4 lead 2:09 in before 3-pointers from Lass and Thomas sandwiched between a Szamosi layup gave the Dukes a 12-11 lead at 6:37. Neither team would hold a lead of more than two points the rest of the quarter as Raventos' layup with 36 seconds remaining closed out the scoring and put the 49ers ahead 23-22.

SECOND QUARTER
Charlotte would build a 6-point lead at 30-24 after an and-1 from Pearson. The Dukes would respond with a 13-5 run to take a 37-35 lead at 2:27, forcing a Charlotte timeout. Hunter's layup with 1:47 remaining tied the score and Gregory's basket as time expired gave the 49ers a 39-37 lead heading into halftime.

THIRD QUARTER
Back-to-back layups from Raventos put Charlotte ahead by seven points at 46-39 early in the 3rd period. They extended their lead to 10 points at 58-48 on Webster's layup with 2:40 left. Duquesne would score the next six points - a free throw from Thomas, a Cannon jumper and a 3-pointer from Omogrosso - to make the score 58-54 with 45 seconds remaining. Another buzzer beater, this time from Ransom, gave the 49ers a 60-54 advantage.

FOURTH QUARTER
Cannon opened the quarter with a layup, but the 49ers came back on a 10-1 run over the next 5:10 to take a 70-57 lead with 4:38 remaining. Charlotte's largest lead was 17 points with 2:42 remaining.
