PITTSBURGH -- Jeremiah Worthem scored 25 points, including three free throws in the final 12 seconds, to lead Mansfield to a 79-74 exhibition win over Duquesne at Palumbo Center.

Freshman Mike Lewis II led Duquesne with 16 points. Darius Lewis added 14 points and 10 rebounds and graduate transfer Emile Blackman had 12 points for DU.

Duquesne took its largest lead at 68-57 on a Tarin Smith layup with 8:08 to go, before Mansfield answered with seven-straight points, cutting it to 68-64 on a Gerasimos Koutoufas 3-pointer.

Mansfield pulled to within one on a three-point play by Worthem with 3:17 left, and took its first lead since the 18:28 mark of the second half on a Worthem foul line jumper that made it 73-72 with 2:48 left.

Mansfield upped the lead to three on a layup by Matt Tamanosky with 1:10 remaining forcing a Duquesne timeout.

Lewis II scored on a drive and blocked a shot on Mansfield's next possession, but Darius Lewis was whistled for his fifth foul after it looked like the Dukes had possession with 28.7 seconds left.

Da'Quan Jones made one of two free throws.

Tarin Smith drove the lane and couldn't convert as Worthem rebounded and was fouled. Worthem hit two free throws with 12 seconds left and added another with five seconds to go to seal the win.

The Dukes, who missed six of their last seven shots, had one field goal over the last 4:15.

Duquesne opens the regular season at home against Loyola, Md. on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m. (ET).
