Full List of FCS ADA Academic All-Stars

Duquesne University senior linebacker Sam Martello (Westlake, Ohio/St. Edward) has been named to the 18th annual Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team.

Martello, an accounting major with a 3.68 grade point average, was one of 52 FCS players honored, and just one of three from the Northeast Conference joining Robert Morris' Nick Faraci and Andy Smigiera.

A 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America and First Team All-NEC selection, Martello led the Dukes with 81 tackles, including nine in the team's FCS Playoff matchup with then 13th-ranked William & Mary, where he also forced a fumble. Additionally, he recorded two fumble recoveries and intercepted a pass on the season.
