Duquesne (14-7, 4-4), winner of four of five, heads to St. Louis to face Saint Louis University (8-12, 3-5) on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 6:00 p.m. (ET) in a game that will be televised by ASN (22 The Point! locally - tape delay at 9:30 p.m.). This is the second of two meetings between the Dukes and Billikens. Duquesne defeated Saint Louis, 81-71, in Pittsburgh on Jan. 13.
DU, which opened Atlantic 10 play with three losses, evened its conference record at 4-4 with an 87-60 win over La Salle on Tuesday. Derrick Colter tied his carer high with 27 points and Micah Mason (14-10a) and Eric James (11-15) posted double-doubles in the victory, which enabled the Dukes to eclipse their highest win total under fourth-year head coach Jim Ferry (13-17 in 2014).
Duquesne is holding opponents to their lowest field goal percentage in 45 years (.402). The defensive field goal percentage is the best by a DU team since the 1970-71 NCAA Tournament team held opponents to .389. The Dukes have held nine opponents under 40 percent this season. Only three teams - Pitt (.554), South Carolina State (.456) and VCU (.525) - have shot better than 45 percent against Duquesne this year. DU is limiting its A-10 opponents to .390 shooting.
