QUICK NOTES
Duquesne (13-7, 3-4), winner of three of four, returns home to face La Salle (5-12, 1-5) on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 7:00 p.m. in a game that will be televised by ASN. The game will be a "White Out" in recognition of Duquesne's 30-hour bus ride back from Friday's George Mason game. The 31-person travel party was stranded on the Pennsylvania Turnpike for 22 of those hours.
Duquesne is 9-1 at home with the lone loss coming to Dayton on Jan. 2. It was DU's second game without senior forward Jeremiah Jones who suffered a season-ending knee injury vs. Robert Morris on Dec. 19. The Dukes were also without second-leading scorer Micah Mason who was out with an ankle injury.
Duquesne is holding opponents to their lowest field goal percentage in 45 years (.408). The defensive field goal percentage is the best by a DU team since the 1970-71 team held opponents to .389. The Dukes have held eight opponents under 40 percent this season. Only three teams - Pitt (.554), South Carolina State (.456) and VCU (.525) - have shot better than 45 percent against Duquesne this year. In seven Atlantic 10 Conference games, DU's opponents are shooting .403.
