THE SERIES

ON THE BONNIES
SBU is 6-6 at home, including a 2-4 mark in A-10 play ... the Bonnies, who have lost their last two at Reilly Center, are coming off a 69-46 loss at George Washington ... junior guard Marcus Posley, who scored 36 in the first meeting with DU, leads the team with a 16.2 ppg. scoring average ... seven-foot senior center Youssou Ndoye is averaging 11.9 points and 10.4 rebounds/g. ... SBU is 1-3 without freshman point guard Jaylen Adams (10.0 ppg., 4.5 apg.) who underwent finger surgery in mid-February ... Adams had 15 points and 14 assists in the first meeting with Duquesne on on Jan. 22.
THE DUKES
Duquesne (10-16, 5-10), winner of two in a row, heads to Olean, N.Y. to face St. Bonaventure (14-12, 7-8) on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 4:00 p.m. (A-10 Digital Network). SBU, one of five home-and-home opponents for the Dukes, defeated DU 100-97 in OT at Palumbo Center on Jan. 22. DU is 1-9 on the road, with the win coming at Abilene Christian on Nov. 22.
Duquesne has completed three of its five A-10 home-and-homes, turning road losses into double-digit home wins in all three cases. DU followed a 74-59 defeat at George Washington with a 78-62 Palumbo Center win over the Colonials on Feb. 11. On Feb. 21, the Dukes avenged an 81-55 loss at Dayton with an 83-73 win over the Flyers at CONSOL Energy Center anad on Wednesday, DU followed a 78-69 loss at Saint Louis with a 79-66 home win over the Billikens. After SBU, the Dukes will have one rematch remaining, at home vs. Davidson on Mar., 7.
Three of DU's A-10 games - all at home - have come down to the last possession: a 71-68 win over Saint Joseph's, a 61-60 loss to Rhode Island and a 100-97 OT loss to St. Bonaventure (the Dukes led Rhody by 13 and the Bonnies by 15 in the second half). In addition, DU had the ball down two with under two minutes left in a 70-64 "home" loss to No. 17 (AP) VCU at CONSOL Energy Center on Jan. 17 and was tied with UMass with under three minutes left at Mullins Center on Feb. 14.

Leftovers from Duquesne's 79-66 win over Saint Louis on Wednesday: the win - Duquesne's fourth in a row at home, - avenged 78-69 loss to the Billikens in St. Louis on Jan. 14 ... Micah Mason led five Dukes in double figures with 20 points ... Jeremiah Jones tied his career high for points (16) and 3-pointers (3) ... the Dukes, led by Mason's four 3-pointers, went 11-of-28 from the arc ... DU, which was 13-of-34 from the foul line in the loss at Saint Louis, was 16-of-20 from the stripe - including 12-of-12 in the second half ...
