Duquesne, which saw its three-game win streak snapped in a 96-75 loss to Pitt on Friday at CONSOL Energy Center, returns to action to host UMBC (2-7) on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7:00 p.m. at A.J. Palumbo Center. Both of UMBC's wins have come on the road, the most-recent at Longwood (70-59) on Saturday night.
This is the 100th career game for seniors Derrick Colter & Jeremiah Jones - who have both played in every game in their DU careers. It is also the 100th consecutive start for Colter who ranks tied for 10th on DU's all-time starts list (school record is 116 set by Damian Saunders from 2008-11).
The Dukes, who are 4-0 at home, are 43-12 in non-conference games at Palumbo Center since 2007-08. Duquesne is looking to start 5-0 at home for the first time since 2009-10. (6-0).
Duquesne's 6-2 start is its best since 2009-10. The last time DU opened with a 7-2 record was in 1979-80 (9-2).
NEXT UP: Duquesne heads to Johnstown, Pa. to face Saint Francis U at 1:00 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 12 at the Cambria County War Memorial. It will be the first time in 45 seasons - and 11th time in the 75-game series - that the Dukes and Red Flash will meet in Johnstown.

Sophomore forward Eric James, who averaged 4.6 ppg. last season, has topped his career scoring high in each of DU's past two games. He had 18 points in 20 minutes off the bench vs. MVSU and followed that with 21 points (3-of-5 from 3-point), 4 assists and 4 steals off the bench vs. Pitt (the assists and steals were also career-bests and the three "3's" tied his career high). James has missed just three 2-point attempts this season (25-of-28).
Sophomore forward TySean Powell has scored 10 points off the bench in each of the Dukes' past three games.
Seven Dukes: Micah Mason, Derrick Colter, L.G. Gill, Jeremiah Jones, Darius Lewis, Eric James & TySean Powell, have posted double-digit scoring games. Five different players have either led - or tied for the team lead - in single-game scoring.
