@DuqMBB Announces 2016-17 Recruiting Class

Nov. 13, 2015

PITTSBURGH â€" Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Jim Ferry announced the signing of Mike Lewis (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade), Spencer Littleson (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Adams) and Isiaha Mike (Scarborough, Ontario/Trinity International) to National Letters of Intent today. The threesome comprise the Dukes' 2016-17 recruiting class.

"I'm excited about this class," said Ferry. "This group will really help us fill the void that will be left by this year's senior class. Mike, Spencer and Isiaha are all great kids from great families who are playing for great basketball programs. All of them are winners, and each one of them have the ability to fill a role for us. Spencer Littleson is an outstanding shooter who will help us fill the Micah Mason role. Michael Lewis helps us fill the dynamic scoring and leadership of Derrick Colter and Isiaha Mike will give us a 6-7 perimeter forward who can really shoot the basketball."

Lewis is the starting point guard for a powerful Chaminade team that is ranked 14th in USA Today's preseason Super 25. He averaged 11.5 points per game and shot 48.7 percent from the 3-point arc (55-of-113) for last season's 26-4 team which finished third in the Missouri Class 5 state tournament. The Red Devils have four Division I recruits on this year's team including Duke signee Jayson Tatum and Iowa commit Tyler Cook. Lewis, a Houston, Texas native, played summer ball for the Gateway Basketball Club 17U team.

Littleson was named Associated Press Class A honorable mention all-state and MLive Detroit honorable mention in helping lead Rochester Adams to the district finals last season. The 6-4 guard averaged 19.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game as a junior. Littleson played AAU ball for 1Nation this summer.

Mike, a 6-7 forward, was rated No. 10 in North Pole Hoops' Canadian National Player Rankings this spring. He averaged 14.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for 33-8 Trinity International in Las Vegas, Nev. last season. Mike helped the Thunder advance to the National Christian Schools Athletic Association (NCSAA) Division 1 championship game.

"We were able to fill our needs with shooting, depth, guard play and forward play," said Ferry of the 2016-17 recruiting class. "We locked in on these guys early and recruited them very aggressively. To be able to put together a class like this in the early period - a class of really good, Atlantic 10-caliber players - is significant for our program."
