Dec. 23, 2014 ECAC Release
The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2014 Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-Star team on Monday. Senior wide receiver Devin Rahming (Miami, Fla./Coral Reef) made the team as a return specialist and freshman linebacker Nathan Stone (Scottdale, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) was tabbed the Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Rahming led the NEC and was second in the country in kick return average at 31.0 and also averaged 10.4 yards on 14 punt returns. Offensively, he led the Dukes with 71 receptions and was second with 727 yards and four touchdowns. He also found the end zone twice on returns ... once on a kick-off and once on a punt.
Stone led the Dukes and was third in the NEC in tackles with 100 (53 solo). The Jerry Rice Award Watch List finalist also managed eight tackles for a loss of 29 yards, which included three sacks for a loss of 25, three pass break-ups, three quarterback hurries and a forced fumble. Stone is second in the nation in FCS among freshmen in total tackles and fourth in tackles per game.
