Dukes Win Penn State National Invitational

Duquesne's women's cross country team took advantage of its final race before the Atlantic 10 Championship by winning the four-team Penn State National Invitational. The Dukes, with 25 team points, defeated Penn State's "B" squad (60 points), Towson (70) and Temple (79).

Valerie Palermo won the race with a time of 21:40 over the 6k course with 40 total runners. She was followed by Danica Snyder in third in 22:12, Jenny DelSignore in fourth in 22:26, Autumn Greba in seventh in 22:39, Elise Farris in 10th in 22:45, Jenna Gigliotti in 12th in 22:50 and Abbir Marquard in 15th in 23:17.

The Red and Blue will take three weeks off as they prepare to host the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 10:45 at Schenley Park.
