Four Duquesne swimmers competed at the U.S. Winter Nationals over the weekend and turned in impressive performances.
On Friday, Meghan Smith finished 17th in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:22.87 to qualify for finals. She then finished second in the "C" final with an NCAA B-Cut time of 4:18.77. In addition, Line Lovberg finished 46th of 66 swimmers in the 100 butterfly with a Duquesne season-best time of 56.04 and Miriam McGeath swam a school record time of 1:03.73 during time trials for the 100 breaststroke.
On Saturday, McGeath took 23rd in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:16.04, Lovberg set a school record in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:00.58 and Smith placed 37th in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.36.
